Learner Autonomy

Facilitating learner autonomy has always been my concern during my teaching experience. Based on my ten years of teaching experience, i've identified several ways of enabling my classroom learners to think and decide on their own.
For instance, i've never prescribed text books to my students, rather suggest them to explore the books and identify the best according to their choice.
Introduce concepts by narrating life experiences or explaining reality situations.
Give students the freedom to make choices while submitting their assignments.
Plan assignments that are more interactive like make a field trip or interview a set of people.
